Calling all 5-8 year olds who want to get an academic edge and have tons of fun all summer long!

Join us from June 21st - July 23rd, where our Sundance campers will enjoy full or part time programs, 3 or 5 days a week.

Enrichment Summer Camp is separated into a morning Academics and an afternoon Science Program. Students have the chance to expand their knowledge through a fun, fulfilling experience that will propel them forward in the next school year. Our individualized instruction and loving teachers assure that the program will be wonderful for all who attend!

Academics 9-11:30am

During this five-week academic program, children grades K-3 will enjoy math and language arts activities that will match and extend their academic abilities. This is a wonderful way to keep your child’s math and language skills fresh!

Individual language art skills will be addressed through the use of games, literature and concrete practice. Thematic whole language activities are planned to continue to foster a love of literature and learning for our students at all levels. This program will be sure to capture the attention of both our fluent and emergent readers.

During math instruction, children will have the opportunity to explore a variety of manipulatives including puzzles, pattern blocks, unifix cubes and tangrams. Again, the children will be provided with material that is academically appropriate on an individualized basis. We will incorporate problem solving on a variety of levels.

The academic enrichment program is very hands on and a lot of fun! Our summer theme, "Down on the Farm," promises many adventures! The children will be eager to participate and bring home finished products to share with their families. We look forward to seeing the children make new friends and expand their skills during this short but effective enrichment program! Due to the brevity of the program, we highly recommend daily attendance if possible!

Arts & Science 12:15-2:45pm

During our “Summer of Science”, we will show the science behind the apparent magic of the natural world. Together we will ask questions, perform experiments, and investigate our surroundings, all in a search for answers and explanations of common and uncommon experiences!

If you were in our previous science after school program, you probably know about acids and bases and how we explode our mixtures in order to examine our findings and discover that each reaction is very different. Observing and actually “doing” are necessary for learning about how science helps us in our daily lives.

The experiments we do will be organized into common themes such as: “More than Lemonade,” “Soap Suds & Bubbles,” Paper Making,” “Making Plastic,” “Pendulums Painting,” “Simple Machines” etc. etc. etc. So let our “Science Adventure” begin! Let’s be “science spies” and perhaps discover new theories of our own!!
