The "Stars" of Sundance are our youngest students, just beginning their nursery and preschool education. Children who are 24-30 months of age (2 to 2 1/2 years old) learn to truly enjoy their first experience at school, where loving teachers nurture their minds and imaginations through activities designed to capture their interest, foster independence and enhance communication skills and vocabulary. The low student/teacher ratio of 4:1 insures lots of individual attention. "Star" teachers are very experienced with children in this age group. Our "Stars" enjoy the full compliment of Sundance activities including art, readiness, music, dance, dramatics and more.

A diaper changing area and "potties" are available for Star children who are not yet toilet trained.

The state has imposed various restrictions on the attendance of children under 21/2 years of age. In order to meet these requirements, the "Star" class meets in the afternoon. We are permitted to accept a limited number of children between 2 - 21/2 years of age into our morning and/or full day sessions. While we highly recommend the "Stars" for children in this age group, if your scheduling needs are such that you require a morning or full day session, please do not hesitate to apply for a space in the Moon Room program for the schedule of your choice.
