Children 30 - 39 months of age (in September) enjoy many challenging activities designed to help them develop social skills, language and a feeling of self-confidence in the loving, nurturing atmosphere of the Moon Room. Moon Room children learn to share and take turns. An abundant supply of "hands-on" materials encourage the development of small and large motor skills and age appropriate readiness skills. There are lots of opportunities for creative expression such as art, music, singing, dramatics and more! The Moon Room offers a truly joyful experience!

The low staff-student ratio of 4:1 ensures that each child will receive individual care and attention in this nursery and preschool environment.

A diaper changing area and "potties" are available for Moon Room children who are not yet toilet trained.

The state has imposed various restrictions on the attendance of children under 2 1/2 years of age. In order to meet these requirements, we offer a special class we call the "Stars" for children under 2 1/2 which meets in the afternoon. We are permitted to accept a limited number of children between 2 - 2 1/2 years of age into our morning and/or full day sessions. While we highly recommend the "Stars" for children in this age group, if your child is under 2 1/2 and your scheduling needs are such that you require a morning or full day session, please do not hesitate to apply for a space in the Moon Room program for the schedule of your choice.
